ABOUT ME
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them create meaningful change in their lives and relationships. I am privileged to support my clients through life's struggles and help them realize their inner resources to cope with what comes their way.
I have a PhD in educational psychology and have been registered as a psychologist in Alberta since 2008. I have worked in school settings as a teacher, administrator and school psychologist. My dissertation research focuses on parent-child relationships and how parents can support their adolescent children with social-emotional concerns.
My private practice spans a range of areas related to anxiety and depression, learning difficulties, parenting, relationship issues, medical issues, grief and loss, trauma, and coping with life’s challenges. I serve adolescents and adults, and I integrate a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies and techniques including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and emotion focused therapy (EFT).
First Nations Inuit Health Board(NIHB Program)
I am an approved provider with the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program and am able to provide therapy to eligible Indigenous clients. If you are seeking mental health counselling services under the NIHB program, feel free to contact me.
